Fosters Donation to Women’s Aid Spreads Easter Cheer
Family focused Fosters Funeral Directors in Motherwell are ensuring local children will receive some Easter cheer by donating chocolate treats to Motherwell & District Women’s Aid plus 9 other Women’s Aid refuge centres across Scotland. In addition to the Easter eggs the generous donation includes essential toiletries and nappies for the women and their children who seek refuge from domestic abuse.
Margaret Ann Jones from Motherwell & District Women’s Aid said “We are so grateful to local business who help us throughout the year and support our charity. A huge thank you to Fosters for this very kind donation, we look forward to giving the children and young people we support their Easter Eggs.”
Women’s Aid provide a confidential service that offers vital information, support and temporary accommodation to women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse. As well as supporting women and children to recover, the charity campaigns to raise awareness of domestic abuse and the impact it has on people’s lives.
Julie Stewart, funeral arranger at Fosters in Motherwell, added “Donating Easter eggs, toiletries and nappies is just one small way that Fosters can give back to the communities that we have the privilege to serve. We hope our donation, which totals over 750 eggs to 10 centres, will spread some joy and brings a smile to the little ones faces when they receive their Easter Eggs.”
